Dear UW-Stout Baseball Fans,
I would like to invite you to become a member of the newly formed Blue Devil Home Run Club. One of the purposes of the Home Run Club is to assist the current Stout Baseball program in upgrading its facilities. The other purpose is to connect former Stout Baseball players and Stout Baseball fans together with current players and fans.
We have recognized our immediate facility upgrade needs for the 2009-10 seasons. The first facility upgrade is to purchase a new portable batting tunnel for use during batting practice. The cost of this item is approximately $3500. We are currently using a home made tunnel with failing safety nets. The second is adding concrete and outdoor carpet/turf to our 70’X12’ batting cage, costing around $5000. The current batting cage consists of a dirt floor, small sections of rubber matting, and often puddles. In order to continue the great Stout Baseball history, upgrading our facilities will be an important factor.
Another important factor will be uniting all UW-Stout Baseball fans. All members will receive unique Blue Devil Home Run Club apparel, be identified and posted on the Stout Baseball website under the Home Run Club tab, and also receive on and off field Stout Baseball updates. Starting in the fall of 2009 Stout Baseball will also be hosting a Home Run Club and Alumni weekend, with such events as, a current player 100 inning game, an alumni baseball game, a group cookout, and a golf outing.
Whether you’re able to donate big, small, or not at all, we look forward to hearing from you with your support of UW-Stout Baseball. We can guarantee that every donated dollar will go directly towards one of our two immediate facility upgrades with a return letter indicating where your money was allocated. Please see the New Membership Form link for specific donation level information. If you have any questions please call me at 715-232-1459 or email at walterc@uwstout.edu. We wish you and your families the best through the Holiday season. Go Blue Devils!
Sincerely,
Craig Walter
